Unfortunately that isn't the case with Apple TV. You can send the video signal from your Apple TV to as many HDTVs as your HDMI splitter can handle. The caveat, however, is that you would have to watch the same content on all connected TVs. You could not have a TV in the living room watching one program while the one in the bedroom is on another.
